Sunrise at 12

Where is the world taking me?

I’m on a swing.

There’s no glimpse of the moon, so dark, my friend.

I see the sunrise at 12 instead,

No lights, just a sad call filled with dread.

No candles were lit, just regret I see,

And somewhere beneath all this stillness, the Earth still waits for me.

Not for rescue, but for us to finally understand,

Stepping, crawling, drifting, brawling, acid on the land.

No lilies, no roses, just dark oleanders I found,

The soil whispers softly, but we don’t hear a sound.

The rivers choke on plastic cries,

while forests shrink beneath dull skies.

Yet in the cracks of broken streets,

I saw a seed still dreaming beneath the heat.
